Dublin, Ohio
Native Americans were the first inhabitants of the land that was to become Dublin, Ohio. Today’s Dublin was originally part of 2,000 acres give to Lt. James Holt by the US government for service in the Revolutionary War. In the early 1800’s John Sells and his family bought 400 acres of land along the Scioto River and the area was platted as a village in 1821. Historic Dublin is the site of Sells original purchase. Many of its original buildings are listed in the National Register of Historical Places.
In the 1970’s Dublin was transformed from a rural village to a suburban business center and up and coming place to both work and live. The development of the Muirfield Village Golf Club and residential community lead the way.
